Finch, her brother, and her aunt weren't the same after the night they lost their mom and Finch was assaulted. Finch was more aggressive and hostile a loose cannon waiting to blow and Fawkes was pushing everyone away and lying, the Fletcher's just weren't okay without Alanah Fletcher. When Vampires stumble back into the town, Finch and her family must strive to keep their secret under wraps and they managed until Finch is noticed by the object of the vampires affection.

And because of this event she is tossed into the middle of their vampiric mess -- which she wanted nothing to do with considering she had her own family problems to deal with. This story is one wild ride, man.
