I never had a one night stand. Only problem now is I left with something belonging to him. So here I am 4 years later and my boss is retiring. Who's my new boss you ask. Second No More, a novel
I've dreamed of the perfect marriage ever since I was a little girl: a marriage complete with a hardworking husband while I tended to the home and our children, preferably four little rugrats to call my own. I dreamed of a life filled with laughter, joy, and success, a life we built together. I dreamed of growing old next to my husband, creating a great love story to tell our grandchildren someday. It all seemed so possible. I was raised to be the perfect wife, after all. From the outside, it seemed I had exactly what I dreamed of with the rich, determined husband; the brilliant, gaudy diamond ring; and the beautiful home filled with the hope of future children. Yes, it was all a dream come true. I should have felt grateful, really. The problem is, I also wanted a marriage based on love, passion, and affection, but those are the only things my husband cannot give me . . . . . . because they're reserved for her. Don't I deserve happiness, happiness of seeing my wife welcoming me with a smile when I reach home exhausted from office work happiness of seeing her blush and smile, when I praise her cooking skills happiness of seeing her laugh when i say something funny happiness of having a wife with whom I can share everything happiness of drifting to sleep peacefully with a smile on my face and with you in my arms happiness of seeing her beautiful face when I wake up from sleep every morning happiness of fulfilling her wishes even before she expresses them happiness which makes me possessive that I have a person who belongs to only me with heart, soul and body happiness when she conveys the best news that am gonna be a father soon happiness of seeing her tummy grow bigger and bigger as the months progress, happiness of holding my baby and you in my arms. Tanner and Esme
Esme Things can become clear in a second. When I found Tanner in his office with that woman, so many things became obvious. Tanner's always held himself back from me, but now, secrets and lies come tumbling out into the light. He's never loved me and he never will. I'm no longer willing to be a placeholder in his life, and I have to end our marriage. Tanner I'd been married for four years to someone I didn't believe I loved because I thought I still loved another woman. A woman I had to give up when I chose to marry my wife after I got her pregnant. Now, the other woman's back, she's divorced and is telling me it's our time to be together. Just as soon as I divorce my wife, who's pregnant with our second child. The allure of the past was impossible to resist, so I gave in, met her at my office and my wife found us just...after.
