A demon, stuck between heaven and hell, only knows to roam the earth and terrorize the humans in his path. He's cold hearted and mischievous and no good. Well, obviously. He's a demon. But soon, his days of torment are cut short when he comes across a patrol angel. One of God's helpers sent to keep order on Earth. The angel threatens to drag the demon up to heaven and send him to eternity in prison, but instead the demon makes a deal. If he can learn to be good, through the help of this angel, then he can stay on Earth and become a patrol angel as well. BoyxBoy Charlie is a young boy who spent his entire life away from society. Moving into a place, filled with people and new experiences, can be quite stressful for someone who's lived away from it for 15 years and has a very good reason to stay on the down-low. His abilities are growing rapidly, and he doesn't have very good control over them. He's just trying to fit in. Angel is the nerd of his high school, completely committed to his studies and trying not to let anyone get in his way. When Charlie comes along he quickly comes to realize that there's something off about him, but at the same time, he's someone who helped him realize that his happiness may be more important than success. Some people said there was an afterlife for every soul. Some would go to heaven and some to hell. But some said you just die and nothing else. No one really knew what would be waiting for you after you die – that was what made death scary. But I could tell you, there was nothing to be scared of, unless you were a very, very bad person. The saying of heaven and hell was right. There was a hell waiting for you if you were considered a sinner that could not be forgiven. Like killing someone, just one single person, could get you banned from heaven forever. However, if you were a kind person, then you may gain access to heaven, and join many other angels there. Or else, you would just end up with devils eternally. You may ask, how did you know that? Well, because, I was an angel. I was good enough that I could go to heaven and joined my beloved ones that had also turned into angels. But now, I must give up my life as an angel for a while – I was given a mission, to save someone from the edge of being banned from heaven. After all, there were people who had a good side buried deep in their hearts, and we would try everything to save them from being doomed. And it would not be an easy task. I could easily get involved and end up in hell.

Earth is a paradise by day and a wasteland at night. Angels and demons visit during daytime but don't coexist peacefully, at least not until Ariel and Dante meet. After Dante torments Ariel, the two begin an unlikely friendship. Can the love between this angel and demon survive, and maybe even change the fate of the Earth? ~~~ Ariel is an adventurous angel who loves spending time on Earth. Although he should fear Dante, he's trusting and quick to forgive after Dante torments him. He hates having to hide his relationship with Dante from his friends in Heaven. Dante is a demon who feels out of place in Hell. His father Lucifer is hard on him, and he spends every second he can on Earth. He wants something different, and Ariel is different. Although demons can't love, what he feels for Ariel seems a lot like love. In this angel/demon romance, God is a woman and all the characters in Heaven and Hell love whoever they want. Some characters and settings were inspired by real demons or angels, or by mythology.

There is no one in the world who could possibly love me, I know it. I've pretty much resigned to crying under my covers at night as my boyfriend who I adore links hands with my bullies at school and beats me down. Pretty cliche. I think. Sometimes, I lie awake at night, just wishing, begging, praying for an angel to fall in my lap and wave their magic wand, take the pain away. Maybe kill me silently in my sleep, take me to a better place... One where I am not alone, suffering, always suffering, and eternally rejected by the world. Still, the angels never respond, never reply, never come to my aid.. Will a DEVIL do? [A/N] Don't read this if you're sensitive to abusive scenes as there is physical and emotional abuse in this story... but have no fear, there are one or two other stories on this site you could read instead. ヽ(〃＾▽＾〃)ﾉ
