Based on the video game, L4D and L4D2, Benevolence’s boyfriend became a Special Infected, a Hunter. Strangely, he ignores his Infected-instincts to rip Benevolence apart, and follows her, even defends her from other Infected. Benevolence thought that no Infected were a fright to her with her boyfriend, ironically named Hunter, being a Special Infected Hunter. That was, until, she met the Survivors, and learned the true meaning of what it is a special Infected.
