At the age of 17, Jennifer Williams has never known loss. She's had all she could ever want. But that was until her beautiful, talented horse she trained herself, drops dead underneath her in the show ring.

Noah Danvers has been living with loss ever since his mother died in a tragic farming accident.

Jen escapes from her grief by changing everything about her life; moving away from home to spend her summer living on an island in South Carolina, scrubbing toilets and waiting on guests at a B&B.

Once there, she meets Noah; doing his best to keep anything else in his life from changing.

When Noah offers Jennifer a scruffy paint gelding out of a friend's back field, it's the beginning of a journey that could change, or break, the both of them by Summer's end.

Fifteen-year-old Kaylin Podmore has a pretty great life, basically everything a teenager living in Lexington, Kentucky could ever dream of. Her parents own one of the most successful Thoroughbred racehorse operations in the country and she has three of the best friends any girl could have, especially as her freshman year of high school starts to come to an end. She catches the eye of Lucas Mitchell, a sophomore starting quarterback for her school's varsity football team. As they learn about one another and grow closer, a potential serious relationship starts to grow between them, but her ex-boyfriend Jesse Landford, her older sister Kimberly and Lucas's ex-girlfriend, Nichole Young, are determined to try to keep them from getting together for different reasons. Kaylin knows Nichole is a stuck up spoiled rich girl, and she doesn't believe a word that Nichole says about her and Lucas, but her sister's another story. She and Kim know their dad isn't exactly keen on either of his daughters dating so it causes problems in-between them after Kim shares the news with their dad about her and Lucas's budding relationship. Other than their friends, the only people who seem to like the idea of Kaylin and Lucas potentially getting together are her mom and his family, who're all being supportive because they know each other from their kids going to school together and being in the same business, even if they're competitors. Her mom often has to settle disputes in-between her and her dad but that doesn't mean her dad is going to stop being negative about Kaylin's growing relationship with Lucas. Kaylin is set on finishing out the year, hopefully with Lucas as her boyfriend despite the trouble it is causing in her life to have a great summer with her friends and watching her favorite horse, Faith's Magic, start her racing career.

27 parts Complete Mature
The first half of Kaylin Podmore's sophomore year of high school was pretty intense for someone who usually tries to keep away from the drama. It seemed like almost every day she spent her day fighting with someone, whether it was between her parents and her older sister Kimberly, her now ex-best friend, Grace Barnes, when they would mainly fight about or with Carson Hall and of course, Nichole Young, her boyfriend, Lucas Micthell's, ex-girlfriend. Now, it's the last month of the school year and the summer meets for Thoroughbred horse racing are kicking off, mainly focused on the elusive Triple Crown series which Faith's Magic, Kaylin's favorite filly, has been campaigning heavily for since the fall meets. Kaylin and Lucas are also going to be celebrating their one-year anniversary, which brings a whole new set of boundaries for the two of them to navigate with not only each other, but even their friends. The two of them spend their summer with their friends and family mostly up north in New York for horse races and celebrating multiple birthdays. They also spend time strengthening their relationship in more ways than one and having uncomfortable, but necessary conversations with friends and family about the changes in their relationship. As the summer break comes to an end, the drama from last year comes back around, the group prepares to see what the next school year will bring, as it's their time to buckle down to start figuring out what they want now that they're officially high school juniors and seniors.

They spent their summer together with their friends and family as well as traveling across the country for races while also navigating the waters of their newer relationship. As they start to get back into the swing of things with school back in session, Kaylin, her family and her friends soon realize how fast things can change. Kaylin and Lucas are still dealing with Nichole Young, who is Lucas's overly jealous ex-girlfriend who can't seem to grasp the fact Lucas doesn't want to be with her, let alone be around her. There's also a strange guy creeping around Nichole and Jesse Landford's, Kaylin's ex-boyfriend, individual group of friends who makes moves against Kaylin, even in front of Lucas a few times, none of which end well. In the middle of all this, Kaylin's friendship with Grace Barnes, her lifelong best friend, is put to the test after Grace starts acting off towards their group of friends and her boyfriend, Austin Ward almost out of the blue. Kaylin tries her best to keep her friendship with Grace together, but after numerous fights which all end in hurt feelings on both ends, it makes things difficult for Kaylin because her best friend isn't acting like who Kaylin thought she was. Kaylin's life has been thrown into the ringer, and she doesn't know what she wants to do, knowing what it could cost her. Does everything actually happen for a reason or will she make a rash decision she'll regret?
