"You know, maybe they're right. Maybe it's time I start listening to what they say about me..." Oliver says with a sigh.
For a moment I thought I saw pain behind his glossed over eyes, but it was gone as fast as it came- his eyes darkened, and his face was now emotionless as he stared at the bright lights that came from the frat house.
"What do you mean?" I asked cautiously, patiently waiting for his answer.
"Don't act like you don't know what they say about me, Delilah. You were one of them." Oliver says now looking at me with a cold, glossed over look.
I tucked a strand of loose hair behind my ear, and looked to the ground, avoiding his gaze. It was true, I knew exactly what he meant. I used to think of him the same way everyone else did.
"It's okay though, D. I would've thought the same things if I were you, so I don't hate you for that." Oliver says, turning my head with his thumb and index finger.
This time when I looked into his eyes, they showed a different emotion: love. I was so taken aback by how much emotion, I not only saw in his gorgeous green eyes, but felt as well, that I had to hold back my tears.
"I don't think I could ever hate you, D... because you were the only one who decided to give me a chance, after having known what I've done. You make me want to be a better person every day. Your personality is so infectious, and so bright and bubbly that people are just drawn to you. And that Delilah, that is why I am hopelessly, endlessly, totally and unbelievably in love with you."All Rights Reserved
