Amora Omar-Espinosa is not your average engineer. First of all, she does her "engineering" in space, on a ship called the Ark. Second, she got put in prison for doing her job and is awaiting her execution at the age of 18. However, rather than being sent into the void of space for her eighteenth birthday, she's being sent to earth. You might think that sounds fine and dandy, but the earth she's being sent to is supposed to be coated in radioactive mists and drenched by acid rain. Supposed to be. Turns out, it's not, and now she and the other teenage prisoners, including one Bellamy Blake, have to find a way to survive on the ground
