Haunted by a troubled past, Kirigakure hunter-nin Mare Nakagawa is drowning in the darkness of nightmares and self-loathing. Unable to find the will to truly connect with others due to her trauma and isolation, she finds herself thrown into the fire as a diplomat to Konohagakure.
