Tess and Jaimie agreed never to talk about that night. But is hard to pretend nothing strange happened when their parents decide to sent them as far away, to Greenville, Maine, to live with the nice- but quirky- Gabrielle.
When not questioning whether their host is entirily sane, the two sisters try to integrate in town, make friends and act normal. Soon anyway , they learn nothing is normal in this town.
While Tess is immediately accepted by her classmates, the more rebellious Jaimie finds herself an outcast and decides to explore the secrets of the town.
Things get weirder when a stranger claiming to know Tess arrives in Greenville, and Jaimie finds a deeper connection between the two sisters and the town.
