Dr. Norm Welsh, a millionaire scientist has gone missing. The Avengers have gathered intel that an ex-HYDRA operative know only by their code name, Z8 has been using Dr. Welsh to re-create the same serum given to Steve Rogers in the 1940's.
Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff are sent to retrieve and take down this operation before it is too late. However when they arrive they notice many other machines, notably a time machine set to the 1948.
After being sucked into the past they team up with the one and only Howard Stark in attempt to go back to their time period.
However Steve, being back in his "right" time is struggling what to do. And a certain Peggy Carter doesn't make his decision easy.
