2 and a half months had past since Sonic and Tails had won the fight with Dr. Robotnik. Sonic and Tails learn of the history of Angel Island. The two visit Angel Island, in search of a emerald protector and a giant gem called the Master Emerald. Robotnik/Eggman wants it to rule the Chaos Emeralds and the world. Sonic meets new friends and tries to fight the evil doctor.

Team Sonic thought that Runa has been acting weird ever since. They must find out why and at the same time, Runa must find out how to stop the rivalry between Sonic and Shadow or at least help them give each other respect. What will she do?
