"He reminds me of you." I told Steve who gave me side a look.
"Really? Why is that?" He asked suddenly curious with where I was going with this.
I shrugged. "He's a leader, he's strong and handsome." I listed with my fingers. Steve nodded along, trying not to look smug, but I could feel it coming off him as he stood beside me. "But there's one thing that he has that you don't."
Steve turned towards me. "And what is that?"
I grimaced. "Did I mention that he is a teenage mutant ninja turtle?"
His eyes widen and his face paled. "No,"He squeaked. "No, you did not mention that."

"He killed 80 people in two days." Natasha pointed out.
Thor paused. "He's adopted." He corrected.
I snorted with a roll from my eyes. "Yea, he's a Norse God that is throwing a temper tantrum, going on a killing spree just because he found out he was adopted." I scoffed. "I came in and out of different foster homes and I turned out fine." I ranted. Everyone looked at me with concern and worry. "What? Ok, maybe add on a couple of monster killing, turtle dating, earth jumping, time travel stuff into the mix but overall I'm perfect."

"You wanted me to be Joey's Godparent, right?" Clint asked me. I glanced at him before plastering a fake smile.
"Sure.... Let's go with that."
He fist pumped the air turning to Nat. "See, I told you that she'll say that."
Nat nodded and smirked. "Yea, you did."
'You tried telling him?' I communicated to her in our minds.
'Yea, but as you can see. It didn't end very well.' She said back, the smirk never once leaving her face as we watched Clint jump around, throwing it in Steve's face about the fact. Steve turned to me with a pout.
"Sorry," I shrugged. "I met them before meeting you."

Sequel to Punching Bag! My heart is beating about as fast as I'm spinning the two rings around my finger. I stare out the jet windows at the changing landscape, so different from where I just was. I pause and look down at the rings with nostalgia staining my tongue. A smile curves my lips up when I fiddle with the bottom shining silver band with the little A on it and then the little spider on the other. "You need to calm down. Even I can hear your heartbeat." She raises an eyebrow. "Everyone?" She repeats and I deflate slightly in surrender. She was on my side, mostly. "You're over eighteen and legally allowed to make your own decisions. The team has no hold on you, Jo." I fix her with an incredulous glare and her lips twitch. "Other than affection." Sighing, I press my lips together. "Right. And that has no hold on me." It's been three years since the events in Punching Bag and three months since Jo left to be on her own. Returning back to the facility has its own set of problems though.
