Two years on from a dramatic final Splatfest that ended with Marina's victory, a world has been forced to adapt to two clashing ideologies. Now, with a whole world at stake of destruction, former friends turned foes must reunite to save the world from each side of the battle.

Can they force a grudge to flicker out like a flame before it's too late?

This story is heavily inspired by the Finalfest Splatfest that happened in 2019, but with a few minor changes like Order winning 0 - 3 instead of losing 3 - 0 and such. It's also a sorta what if scenario in a way. Do not take this story as a canon continuation to Splatoon 2's Finalfest, I'm just a simple Splatoon fan writing a story, not a developer giving out the story of a 3rd game.

Lightroad/Splatroad is by Olivewaffles6/Cantstopwaffling/Doggerwoofle Splatoon belongs to Nintendo OCs belong to their respective owners (will be credited properly in the story) Edit 10-27-20: Thank you all for 1k views! This was a contest in April 2020 in a splatroad discord server that was all about making luminous, weapons, etc, so I decided to compile all of the entries into one story! This was the result. People made their own traits and (some people, not all, made) weapons, so if something looks similar then it's most likely a coincidence. Of course, I had to change a few things so the story would flow well, and nobody actually wrote their own story of them fighting their luminous, so yeah, this was mostly done by me. The character references will be shown at the end of the story.
