Ashley is camping with her friends, brother, and boyfriend on the last weekend of summer to see the annual meteor shower. After a terrible dispute with her boyfriend, she runs off into the woods. Next thing she knows, one final meteor falls straight toward her. In place of the meteor is a boy that looked not much old then her. She sneaks the boy away and to her house without telling the others she was leaving. After the boy tells her why he was in place of the meteor, Ashley decides to protect him until he can find a way to leave. Worse mistake because the boy is ignorant and doesn't know squat about the planet he crashed on. Will Ashley be able to put up with this other being and maybe even fall for him?
