Before reading this story I would like to make sure everyone is in understanding.
This story is in no means a fluff story. Don't get me wrong, you and Zuko will 100% be together by the end of the story, it is just going to take a while. Anyway, onto the actual description.
Y/n was born at the southern air temple. The only catch being, she was born without any type of bending. Despite that, the monks keep her at the air temple as an air acolyte. The air benders treat her very differently seeing as she can't do the things they can. At age 9, she meets her life long friend Aang.
When Aang runs away, Y/n decides it would be best to go after him. She says her goodbyes to the only other person that ever cared about her and she goes on her way.
Needless to say, it doesn't go as planned. It doesn't seem like that would be a good thing but in the end, she met the love of her life.

Sophia (14 years old) is 'The Legend' which is the partner to the Avatar, she can learn all the elements and contact the spirit world, she has mastered Fire and Air and has started earth but still needs to do Water. In this fanfic, they are going to a boarding school in Omashu to learn bending. The world has been Avatarless for 100 years, but what they don't know is that they are going to school with him. Avatar Aang was found in the Avatar State by a WaterBender in the Northern Tribe, Princess Yue. His partner Legend Sophia was found in the Legend State just off the coast of the Northern Air Temple. In this story Y/N L/N grew up on the streets of Republic City as an orphan. He never knew his real parents. And for as long as he can remember he's been able to Airbend, but he doesn't know how he can. For the first seven years of his life he grew up on the streets using his Airbending to survive. His life changes when he meets Tenzin, the son of Avatar Aang and an Airbending Master. When Tenzin realises that Y/N is an Airbender and an orphan, he takes the boy back to Air Temple Island to train him as an Airbender. He and his wife, Pema also decide to adopt Y/N as their son. The young boy goes on to be an older brother to Tenzin's two daughters, Jinora and Ikki and his son, Meelo. Y/N advances very fast in his Airbending training and after five years of training Tenzin makes Y/N an Airbending Master. Y/N starts uses his Airbending to help the people of Republic City in secret. One day his life changes when Avatar Korra comes to Republic City in order to be trained in Airbending by Tenzin. Y/N helps her train and the two of them along with their three friends Mako, Bolin and Asami form the new Team Avatar in order to stop The Equalist's and their leader Amon.
