Lab rats.

     That doesn't sound too fun.  Yet, that is what I was my whole life.

     Until we met the boss, that is.  He took us and gave us a life outside the labs- his main rule for this?  Don't get caught and follow orders.

     So, how did I get here?

     Learning alongside wannabes?  

     I'll just have to wait until they come back from me.  For now, I might as well make the most of my time, and train.

                            'To be a hero.'

     I hate that phrase.

     But maybe, just maybe, I'll give it a new meaning.  One that doesn't just mean arresting 'villains' and 'criminals', because at the end of the day. . . We are all still people.  Human.

     I wonder if this single human, with her parasitic friend can change the meaning of what a 'hero' is.
