Orion Alsephina is a screwed-up person with a very screwed-up life.

When his best friend, Holden, moves away, his first instinct is to go chasing after his crush - who also happens to be his best friend's girlfriend, Maeve. He's got everything planned out: convince Maeve that Holden doesn't love her anymore, take he to prom, and get a generally happy ending. Well, as happy an ending as a suicidal asshole like him can get.

What he doesn't plan for is the quirky, angst-ridden Autumn Carmichael, whose arms he accidentally falls into after fainting at the airport.

There's a thin line between life and death, and both of them soon discover themselves pushing the boundaries of that line. As they navigate each other's complicated lives, Orion finds himself spiralling further into depression.

Will Autumn be able to save him?
