I can't look up from the school desk. My hands are shaking like crazy. I try to hold them tightly so that they'll just stay still, but it doesn't work. It's not even close to working. "Oh," Mrs McPherson says. Holy shit. I think I might throw up. Here, right now, in the classroom. I haven't thrown up in school since I was a kid, and caught the stomach bug. Or that time we were talking about worm infections at biology. "Umm... I'm honoured that you told me this. Thank you." You're welcome? "I... I don't really know what to say." "And I don't know what to do," I tell her. "Please. Please help me, Mrs McPherson."

My name is Melina Martinez-but most people call me 'Melly.' I'm only seventeen, just another junior in high school. I'm a decent student. I have the best friends, a cool band, and the sweetest boyfriend a girl could ask for. Then the unexpected happened, and now my teenage years just got very real. I have to make a huge decision: to continue my teenage years as I planned it or to give the unexpected a chance? Will it hurt me altogether or help me grow? I am Melly Martinez and this is my story. This is the female story to "Found A Way."
