Aurelia was never meant to be a part of the Hunger Games. Like the rest of the lucky few, she has become accustomed to watching the Games from her luxury home in the Capitol. But after her mother's secret mission lands her with the death penalty, Aurelia realizes she will do anything to save her. Volunteering herself as a tribute in the Hunger Games to spare her mother's life, she is soon shown the darker side of the Games.

Aurelia is sent to District 10, where she is 'randomly' selected as the female tribute. There, she meets stony-faced Drew and brave Valeria, her new mentors and potentially her only hope. She also meets an unlikely ally when she spots the beautiful Camilla, the bookies favourite to win that year.

Aurelia doesn't expect to see her family or friends ever again. But circumstances in the Games might see her get much further than she ever imagined she would.

Friendships are made. Trust is destroyed. Reality is turned upside down.

Welcome to the 35th Hunger Games. May the odds be ever in your favour.
