Sam: They would rather be anywhere else then here right now. It was pouring rain and the weather was turning more inclement with each passing minute, they sped up their pace as thunder clapped through the air ominously in the distance. They longed to be home where they could hide and drink their favorite coffee and hide in a book, away from everyone.

Alex: He was finishing up for the day when a soaking wet a boy wearing a pink hoodie and a...skirt.. walked in the door, he prepared himself to say the usual slogan but something was beautiful about this boy..and their beautiful brown eyes looked right through me before I realized they we're talking to me

This is going to be a weird thing to say, but Arkin has a caregiver personality towards the reader. Anyone who knows about or takes part in age regression will recognize that fairly quickly. If his personality and actions make you uncomfortable, stop reading. Don't get mad at me for my character. This was originally based on the idea of "I like you and literally nobody else".
