This story may be inappropriate for younger readers. Twelve and under I wouldn't suggest reading. This story deals with rape and abuse, so don't say I didn't warn you.
.......................................................

This is a story about a girl named Cerulean. She has been raped repeatedly, going on two years, just about every night. She is an only child with a mother who is MIA and a dad who might as well be as gone as her mother.

Now there's a new boy in town with a disabled brother and mother who is constantly there, but a dad who has been dead for over ten years.

Even though his family is pretty messed up it seems perfect compared to Cerulean's family. She begins to spend a lot of time there and an equal amount of time trying to be alone.

Usually she's not alone for more than ten minutes because her rapist visits every night and her neighbor has a quiet yet busy life she'd rather live in.

With Cerulean's life, will she ever be able to understand her existence or will she always doubt herself until it gets to be too much?
