Adalyn Lockwood was never the average girl. She was an orphan, forced into the hands of an aunt who didn't want her in the aftermath of a tragic accident. By age 16 she was lonely and depressed and by the time she was abandoned and left to starve in the Canadian wilderness she had given up on her life.
