In a small town in Martha's Vineyard, three friends lose grasp of everything they know and believe. An accident leads to them time traveling to the 1860's, to combat an evil they would've never thought existed.
When new student Dean Vera moves to Canden Shorts, Branwen's world instantly turns upside down. An instant past connection formed between the two and their friendship seems like a perfect coincidence. But things change when everything Dean was running away from finally catches up to him.
After some weird instances occur with random notes left for them to find and a map formed out of star connections, the two realize that life is not what it seems. They meet a friend who forms the connection between a scroll's nonsense and the troubles the town has. However, when the three are finally able to make sense of what is happening, the past quite literally grabs the three friends and forces them decades in the past. Hopping on the trail of time travelers, Dante and Esmeralda, the past is in danger of being changed. Only the three have the power to save it and if not, the future will turn in evil's favor.
