Maki Harukawa is a stoic and calculated assassin sent on a mission to kill the heroic and passionate Prince Kaito at the royal ball. Her mission seems to be going fine until the unknowing prince takes her hand and swoops in for a dance. While she somehow finds herself charmed by him, she also sees her entire career shattering before her. As this strange first encounter brings the two closer, they both start to feel their worlds turn upside down. Will Maki's stone-cold heart finally melt? How far will Prince Kaito go to protect the woman trying to murder him?
