58 parts Complete Mature
Thousands of centuries ago humans, vampires, and werewolves lived together in harmony, considering one equal to the other. Ruled by a council of three kings, with one from each fullblood race, peace endured for quite some time. All of it was destroyed when many years later the new vampire and werewolf kings both wanted to rule over the kingdom alone. A massive war broke out between the vampires and the werewolves and millions of lives were lost. In a last attempt to stop the war one hundred years later, the land was divided into three kingdoms, the vampires, humans and werewolves. The borders were shut, crossbreeding was forbidden since it created halfbloods and demons and each kingdom was led by the king of their respective race. In secret, however, it was decided that the human king would watch over them all to prevent another war from ever happening again. Since the human kingdom laid inbetween the other two, the humans invented technology to keep all the races at bay and trained the warriors of their army as skilled hunters. As time and generations went by, the kingdoms became more isolated and the common humans forgot that supernatural beings even existed. However, the war had never truly been resolved so the hatred that the vampires and werewolves had for each other endured. When a mysterious murder occurs, chaos breaks out within the kingdoms. A throne must be taken, blood must be shed, a choice must be made and all must be answered by a girl with purple eyes. "If you want peace, prepare for war" - Freye Sometimes you don't get the privilege of making choices. It is either: walk through the fire and get out with a few burns or be flung into it and get charred to death. They didn't have that advantage. They got caught in the middle of a war. They knew they had to take drastic measures in order to survive in this cruel world. They mastered the art of concealing their feelings. They built walls to protect their hearts from betrayal and pain. Now, they must learn how to trust their new-found family. It is hard for them to do so since the only people they ever found trustworthy were their chosen family. The one who took them in when they needed a roof to live under. And with a young love that is still fighting the obstacles thrown its way throughout the years. A girl who believed that she was too damaged to be loved and a man who thought he was incapable of loving. "We're bound to those with whom we share blood. And while we may not choose our family...that bond is our greatest strength."
