Mature
-Most literature of the 1930s, '40s, and early '50s presented lesbian life as tragedy, ending with either the suicide of the lesbian character or her conversion to heterosexuality. -

"Filthy, that's what they called us, yet nothing could be more beautiful then what we both had. All I did was love a human! But all they see in this is two vile bodies intertwined unnaturally! It's their gross imagination that doesn't see pure love in this! Neither of us did anything wrong!!"

A story about women in love.
Life of LGBT people back in the 1920s was tough. They had to hide their sexuality to survive and lived in fear of being found out if they did their whole life would be over. This novel tells stories of women in love and life around them.
It tells stories of people who suffered and became professional actors and actresses throughout their lives, not because they wanted to but because society demands it.
But this story doesn't only contain the despair and sorrow! It shows how enjoyable the lives of those young people were. Those who didn't care about politics or government. Claiming, that they can't change anything, So they dedicate half of their lives to making pleasurable memories.

my first novel ever and I'm hella excited!!
most of the characters are fictional but some are real, I added them cuz it helps with feeling the 1920s vibe and cuz I can!! (probably)
I'm using some magazines that are real ( which I will not claim and say everything after every chapter) some newspaper are fictional.
most of the pictures I use are from magazine La Vie Parisienne ( including the cover).
