When I was young, I was always told that everyone loved a tragic Greek love story. Orpheus and Eurydice. Apollo and Hyacinth. Hero and Leander. Achilles and Patroclus. I had asked my mother why so many of those stories didn't have happy endings. She just gave me a grim smile and told me how the world of the gods was tricky. There was a lot about it that I didn't understand yet. That was 13 years ago. I think I understand it now.

Nobody dies, it's all good fun. If you're not here to have fun then find another story. The character names are changed, but most of the major characters show up if you're looking. I realize this is not how paintball tournaments work and I don't care, it's an Iliad AU, not an accurate look at the world of paintball. Trigger/Content warnings: some profanity, teenage level crude humor, some teenage sexuality, teenagers kiss on page that's it, some brief family problems discussed, a character has amnesia and the accident causing it is discussed. A character has a prosthetic limb, this is discusssed. Some violence towards animals in that the characters hunt.
