Strangers in Danger
Attractive strangers Lucas and Cara were living normal, uncomplicated lives until sought by a group of bounty hunters. The price on their heads is high because the gifts they possess are priceless. They run for their lives but it doesn't take long to realize they can't run from their growing attraction for each other. Oof, that description was painful. This is a hobby project intended to work some creative muscles, which is why you may see iterations of the same characters in my stories. While not true fan fiction, this work is inspired by several of my favorite movies and film characters. I like to drop lines from these movies and characters as little Easter eggs. If you can spot them give them a shout-out in the comments. As this is essentially a glorified creative writing project, I haven't done the type of deep research that goes into a professional novel. I'm always receptive to constructive criticism that helps to improve my writing.Complete
The Rubber Band Theory
After Tadashi and Hiro have a close call, they discover they have abilities they wouldn't have dreamed were possible. When they discover that the fire that almost took Tadashi's life was intentional, they start on a journey that will change their lives forever. ------------------------------------ Some say that the mind is like a rubber band; it stretches and grows with use, never returning to the state it began in, and like a rubber band, it can grow brittle and hard with disuse. People tell stories of individuals with extraordinary abilities, abilities that extend with the use of their minds: Pyrokinesis, Telekinesis, Cyrokinesis, Pathokinesis, Telepathy, and any number of other abilities. But every story has a grain of truth, doesn't it? People have long forgotten that little grain of truth; there were some people who truly possessed abilities of those calibers. But when you leave a rubber band alone for too long, it shrinks and snaps easily. And like the forgotten truth, the rubber band was lost in time. Yui Otori doesn't have a perfect life. Yes, she maybe be a super genius and a wiz at robotics, but what she has in smarts she lacks in family. No mother, no father, only a sister who was about to get married. Everything was looking good for Yui, she was in her second year of college at the San Fransokyo Institution of Technology and had a badass reputation as a bot fighter. Then, in a flick of a flame, her life came to a halting stop. It seemed Yui had nothing..... that is until she ran into frantic Hiro who's chasing down wandering Baymax. Suddenly Yui is tossed into a high speed chase running from a guy in a Kabuki mask. What happens when her school projects are transformed into a weapon and super suit to help save San Fransokyo from terror? And more interestingly, what happens when Yui starts to fall for a fellow super robotics genius that's the leader of their little super hero team? 1# in hiroxoc Feb 2, 2019 ~~~~ This follows the events in the movie. I also drew some story inspiration from My Cyber for the first few chapters. It's actually a pretty good fanfic and is worth a read.
