Just as she believes she's making progress, Leonid Volkov, a 30-year-old mafia heir, enters her life and disrupts everything. I want to start by stating that this book explores themes of trauma, heavy drinking, obsession, brief scenes of sexual violence, murder, and gore. While this book is purely fictional, I understand that many of these topics reflect real-life experiences. If you are someone who may be triggered or negatively affected by these themes, I encourage you to reconsider reading this book.
I do, however, have another book on the way-a collection of poems about deep emotions and love. If you're looking for something lighter or more reflective, I highly recommend reading that instead.
If you are struggling with any of the issues portrayed in this book, please consider seeking professional help or talking to a trusted loved one. You are not alone. Even when it feels like the darkness is overwhelming, there is always a light-you just have to find it.
