Things changed. It happened slow....Then, it suddenly picked up. It took on a life of it's own. SHIT! The weaker are on top. They seem to have it all. I have become the last thing, I ever wanted. My name is Cassy woods I am 16, I have always been the quiet one, avoiding the spotlight, trying my best to stay out of trouble. Now in a world devastated by death and disease thats the best thing to do. ~~~~~~~~~~ Two years ago a disease broke out, killing people.. however it didn't stop there it brought the dead back..... But they weren't the same, they killed and ate anything that moved. The government decided to bomb the cities most infected to slow the spread, but that just made things so much worse. That's not what I fear though, what I fear most is the people who are left. The people we were are gone, and people will do anything it takes to survive.. if there is one thing I would tell the old me it's fight the dead... but fear the living. (Sorry walking dead I love that quote)

Nothing is what it was. No one is who they were. The world fell taking many with it. I used to be afraid, but like many others I have changed. I am still alive and will do whatever it takes to keep it that way. The two most important things I have learned is TRUST NO ONE and RUN FAST!!

Being happy used to be easy. I had friends who cared about me and we took this world by storm at a young age.... But there is always that one person that makes my life a living hell. This won't end happy for either of us and all those people who left me will pay. They caused me so much pain and despair that I want it to end so badly. And maybe today.....it will.

It all happened so fast. So quick. I didn't even realize what was going on. By the time I did however, it was far too late. They were all gone. All dead. The infection was created just over a year ago by a group. It has altered my life has taken away everyone I hold dear. But one day something made me change my own fate, To take that step that put me where I am now. I'm only 14 and my life is a mess. My mom died when I was 7 so my dad had the responsibility of raising 4 kids on his own. We all have secrets. I'm failing every single subject except gym and English. My 16 year old sister is trying to hide her pregnancy. My 17 year old brother is into drugs. And my 18 year old sister has lost 20 pounds in a few weeks because she won't touch any food. For the most part, my life sucks and my dad isn't home enough to care. On top of all of this, I'm left wondering if the boy I like will ever dump his girlfriend and realize that he likes me.
