Shara "Sparrow" Shaman is a young girl who lives in the dystopian country, Indigena. In this disastrous society the people of the lowest class are known as the "Withers," while people in the middle class are classified as "Stables." Both the Withers and Stables live under a tyranny where the "Thrives," led by the royal family are at the highest in wealth and economic power. Fed up with seeing her people suffer, Sparrow, who is the clan leaders daughter, proposes they make a trip to see the Thrives and demand for equality and freedom. But this meeting takes a turn for the worst when Sparrow disrespects the Prince of the Thrives, Theodore Chambers. Her father is then forced to make a decision that will change her life forever.
