Mineta meets Chiyo in the park one day when he rethinks his life, she is the one who calms him down and helps him take control of his own life but then it develops into much more.

Chiyo is trying to live her life to the best before she passes, knowing it's coming soon but she also doesn't want to grow close to others. Mineta is one of the few exceptions to her rules.
