Defender of Cheiron

The Kingdom of Cheiron and its ruler, Laurence Talbard, has been plagued by the dangerous fugitive Verim Thello for five decades, who has killed hundreds of Talbard's men, father and only daughter. Talbard is determined to trap and trial him to get the truth.

But there is more at play than Talbard knows.

Old friends appear, along with old feuds and secrets thought long buried. With Thello in the midst, his reach knows no bounds.

Even the castle isn't safe.

There are those in the city that know the fugitive better than anyone else. And they will do everything in their power to protect him.

With Talbard's enemies planning to use Thello once more, will Talbard ever catch his fugitive?

Or will the truth destroy everything he has created?
