After you have turned 17, a power is revealed that you wield. This day is known as Power Assignment Day. Eveline just turned seventeen and is told what her power is and how to wield it. Along the way she meets a boy, Finn. Finn will be eighteen soon so he already knows his power pretty well. Eveline is adopted, grew up not having a clue what her power would be and no signs showing her otherwise. Finn's gift is very powerful, similar to Eveline's. Finn reveals a secret to Eveline about her mother that can change the entire world as she knows it. Others have warned Eveline of Finn because if their two powers are combined, the world will crumble or rise. No one knows how it will happen. A corrupt kingdom, betrayal, heartbreaking love, and special abilities are held at the edge of a blade. Poison and passion, creation and destruction, life and death. Who will rise?
