I MIGHT CONTINUE THIS STORY. I JUST STARTED IT BECAUSE I RE-WATCHED THE EPISODE AND CAME UP WITH IT.
(Starting at the moment Metatron tells Cas he has killed Dean in s9ep23, the story is written from Castiels perspective.)

Castiel fights to regain his Grace, but more importantly, to fix Dean. The thought of him being dead was a massive bombshell, but is having Dean as a demon worse? Cas searches find a way to fix him before his Grace burns out, and tell him what his true feelings are. But Dean doesn't want to be saved. He likes this new self, even though his feelings for Cas are surfacing, he has to keep them down, he can't be with an Angel afterall. Or can he?
