French People say that the "coup de foudre" which literally meant "clap of thunder" is a french romantic phrase that usually occur when someone fell in love with someone else. When this clap of thunder appears, someone fell in love. . .
This literally happened when Marinette fell for Adrien. But she was hopeless now, it's like she knew that falling for him is a mistake, and she thought that feeling this would and WILL hurt her, she wouldn't want that. So she set herself free, and let Kagami take him.
She hoped Kagami deserved Adrien even she thought or even felt that she was the one.
Which was a mistake.

But Marinette is the new guardian now. She got a ton of responsibilities, and minding her love department would be distracting. Besides, her friends even knew Luka deserved her. "So why worry?" She might have said.
