In January 2020, I lost my father in a traumatic way as he passed while I was performing CPR. As a way to cope, I started to journal. My journal entries quickly turned to poetry, a form of writing that I had no experience in. Over time, my poems have evolved to be about more than my father. I'll start to share them in this book. I believe the works in here are a collaboration between my father and I. Rest in peace SBR. I love you and hope you enjoy this book as much as I enjoy the comfort I get from writing these poems

A Year In Poetry
Happy 2020! I will be putting one whole year of poems in this book. We'll all see what happens! A lot of the poetry I write is to help me understand the world around me. One day it might be a love poem, the next it might be about chicken nuggets. 2019 brings a new year and new life to my writing. As such, I will share all of my poetry, short stories, and snippets of writing within this scrapbook that is written during the course of 2019. DISCLAIMER: Several poems were removed on August 11th, 2019, due to them being published in my Amazon e-book, "Seasons of Love", which can be purchased for $.99 Some of the poems contain photos. All photos or drawings were created by me, and they are all either photos of the event itself or were created to represent the event that is discussed in the poem.
