Seven year old Avery Clarke looked at her best friend Carter Reeves, and started to sob.
"Please don't leave me Carter, I'll miss you too much" she cried into Carters shoulder.
"I'll miss you too Ave, so much" both seven year olds were crying and holding onto each other, but Carters mother eventually came to pick him up and take him home.
When Carter left Avery ran to her mother with tears falling down her cheeks. "Mummy does Carter really have to go"
"Honey, Mrs Reeves really wants to be with her mummy and daddy right now, so yes they do have to leave" Avery started to cry harder while her mother was consoling her.
She smiled down at her daughter and assured her that he was only a phone call away.
