16 year old Jacob, his father is known as Joichiro Yukihira and his little brother is known as Soma Yukihira, at least, that's what Jacob thinks of them. At the age of 7, Jacob visited Japan with his parents for a week. The day they were scheduled to leave, Jacob's parents died and for a few years he lived on the streets of Japan, until one day a man and his son found Jacob, took him in and eventually adopted him. Traumatized by the death of his parents, Jacob wouldn't speak much or at all. But one day, Jacob and Soma went with Joichiro to America and Jacob convinced Joichiro to go visit his home once more. Upon their visit, Jacob found out the true reason for him and his families trip to Japan. That reason severed the weight of guilt Jacob felt for his parents death.
