"Laney!" Five gave a weary shout. "I'm sorry, okay? I didn't think-"

"Exactly! You didn't think!" Elaina snapped, turning back and storming up to the boy. "You left, Five Hargreeves. Just vanished, disappeared, gone. Am I explaining myself properly?" she couldn't hold back the years' worth of pent-up emotions anymore.

"I'm the only one that disappears around here - that's my job!" her eyes began to defiantly water against her will the closer she got to him. "You promised me you wouldn't do it! And you still did!!"

Elaina Hargreeves, better known as Number Eight, was born on the twelfth hour of the first day of October 1989, just like 43 other children. She lived with her adopted siblings at The Umbrella Academy until they were all old enough to move out - well kind of. She's been stuck in her 16-year-old body for the past 14 years. Now they must all reunite for their father's death where she must face the internal demons that have haunted her for all these years, and reunite with her old flame.
