Well, That Was A Thing (Good Omens One-Shots)
Random AU's for the Ineffable Husbands that either come out of my mind or got inspired by other AU's in the community (if that is the case, I'll specify from where and who the original AU came from). Chapter lengths may vary from very short to very long, I don't plan on giving myself a minimum or maximum word count for this. Black Hole Sun
A Good Omens fanfiction set to Soundgarden's song, Black Hole Sun. Crowley has a thing for Aziraphale, but the angel has a hard time believing it. Meanwhile, a certain demonic Duke is out for revenge for the events of a certain Apocalypse-That-Wasn't. Like my other stories, this is slash, putting Crowley and Aziraphale in a romantically charged situation. Don't like, don't read. Furthermore, Soundgarden's lyrics are included purely for reference. I obviously have zero connection to the band and absolutely no vague claim of ownership whatsoever. (For good measure, I'll throw in the fact that I also don't own Good Omens - that prestigious right goes to Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett - but I should think that would be clear already since it is a fanfiction piece.)Complete

"Since the Apocalypse had been avoided, the bond between the angel and the demon had grown closer. For the first time in 6000 years Aziraphale...felt something for Crowley. He didn't know what the strange feeling was when the ginger-haired demon was around, but - he was an angel, for Gods Sake. His kind used to be caring and loving, whatever or whenever." Aziraphale begins to question the Great Plan and its purpose on love. According to this, a demon and an angel aren't made for each other. When Crowley finally shows up at his bookshop and tries to confess his feelings for the angel, he breaks up. Leaving an angry demon and a very sad angel. Not knowing what they gonna do. Little do both of them know that these weren't exactly the commands from God herself...Complete

"Why are you doing this?" Aziraphale's voice is faint, his breathing uneven. Crowley doesn't lift his eyes to see the sickly look on his face, the twist of pain where only joyous smiles should ever be. "Bandages need changing", he mumbles, eyes fixed firmly on his working hands. "No. I meant-" He can hear as Aziraphale swallows. "Why do you care for me?" It isn't just 'why do you take care of me'. It's 'why do you still care at all'. Crowley has to close his eyes for a second, makes sure Aziraphale doesn't see. "Cause you're here", he says, voice carefully detached, "and you're hurt, and you need someone. And that someone's gotta be me." "Why?" He won't answer that. He can't answer that. "Don't ask stupid questions." ~oOo~ Or, the one where Heaven punishes Aziraphale the only way they know how, Crowley is there to help pick up the pieces, and maybe they can build something new and much more beautiful from both their broken shards. Good Omens. Crowley and Aziraphale pose as husbands for a house party, because Aziraphale is bad at saying no (to anyone but Crowley and anyone trying to buy books). Crowley thinks this is a good chance to prove himself the perfect potential demon husband to a fussy angel. But things get complicated fast. Really complicated. A lot of pining, a lot of shopping and restaurants and party games, some near misses, but no sex until chapter 24 (and all of 25).Complete

Crowley and Aziraphale part ways after Crowley finally admits his feelings for the angel. But it would be naive to think the two beings could simply stay out of each other's way, when it's so obvious (and canon!) that they like each other.
