Deku has always been the one to be looked up to, even without a quirk he was by far the smartest, sportiest and most popular kid in school. Everyone adored his hero-likeness. Bakugo, on the other hand, has been the social punch-bag. His uncontrolable quirk, his anger issues, and his quick, irrational reactions, let alone his low-grades and the amount of times he has got into trouble with the teachers. Everyone hated his ambitions to become a hero. When Deku easily passed his way into UA, and Bakugo struggled to get into the suggestions list, a fire sparked within him.
