Anubis has made his will known and for that, we find ourselves indebted to the God of the Dead. To keep our position as caretakers of the Unicorn, we must act as the unofficial hell hounds, ordered to aid in the checks and balances of the new world.
While the Earth continues to spin, it doesn't come without its new laws- or lack thereof. Gods of all regions descend upon the unsuspecting mortals in a bid to regain control of their respective regions all while humanity tries desperately to rebuild amid yet another world war.
Suddenly, one's cultural background means very little when nobody is safe from becoming an unstable vessel for an unworldly being. The only one who can stop the madness is the Unicorn, yet the child is barely old enough to read and write.
It's up to us to persevere until Darrius is old enough to act. Meanwhile, the weight of becoming Death, an unwilling horseman, falls squarely on Verando's shoulders.
