From destiny to fate

Destiny can be shaped and altered but can fate of a person change ?

He is the law maker as well as dispencer of justice , a badshah in real sense ,but his loyal consort was schemed and executed right under his nose , yet he was clueless .

she is supposed to be a virtuous queen ,a loyal companion to her husband but the power of hunger blinded her changing her into a vicious woman .
