After dealing with a serial killer in the small town, Lakewood, Detective Malia Weston follows in her dad Gabe Weston's footsteps and becomes a cop. Her father, who is now the police chief, assigns her and Detective Damon Ramos to cold case files.
After meeting with Abby Fulton, Malia's best friend, and Damon's twin sister, someone attacks Malia viciously with a message - curiosity killed the cat. Malia becomes obsessed with the person who attacked her as murders pop up in Lakewood.
A new detective transfers to Lakewood to help find a serial killer copying the Lakewood Serial Killer.
