"So Rose...how long have you known Al?" Asked Nat.


"Since kindergarten" she beamed.


"Wow! That's long...and when did your parent's meet?"


"In 1st grade...because it's when we decided to be best friends" Rose turned to me smiling.




"It's you who decided...I just agreed so that you don't break my pencil" I mumbled.



"Oh yea! But it's good you did...right?"

This is a story about a two 16 year olds who lived in Africa and got scholarship in the states, who share a very beautiful best friend bond but come across a lot of challenges....will they manage to get through them and finish their studies? Please read to find out.

This will be a moderate length mini story for the two couples, exploring their journeys which happen at completely separate times. These are the untold stories of our side characters from my other book's shared universe, but reading those two books are not exactly necessary to enjoy this one. Either way, this is made for those who want to know more about these characters, so please enjoy.

I point above my head, my back's pressed against the bookcase. He locks his gaze on mine and reaches over me to grab the book I asked for. "Thanks." I don't move and neither does he. Riley and Devin have been best friends forever-since Kindergarten. It's Senior year of high school, now. And it's always been simple, Riley's got his back, he's got hers. But as life goes on Riley can't help but wonder if maybe he's not just her best friend, if she likes him as possibly something more. As her feelings deepen and become something greater it becomes more evident that she's falling, really hard. No matter how hard Riley tries she can't stop falling, she can't stop from loving him. Even if it tears her to pieces or even if it destroys their friendship. Pretty soon Riley is going to have to choose between walking the safe line of friendship or taking the unpaved path of love.
