Condemned

He's coming. I hear him through the corn. Searching. I don't even dare to breathe let alone move. His grunting drifts farther away until I can't hear it anymore. I'm safe...for now.
Dawn is coming. I here birds in the trees somewhere not far away from here. Dawn is coming ending night as it always does, drying my tears and helps me move on.
