"Zach, all I know is your parents are taking you back, and adopting me. That's it-"
"What more do you need to know?" He looked me straight in the eye.
"What they're like." I answered in almost a whisper. "Are they horrible people? Do we need to escape tonight? Go back to B-Dads? Or- or are they good people? Will they love us? Protect us? Zach, what I'm trying to say is, why did you run away from them? Are they really that bad?" He hesitated, then sighed.
"No they're not horrible people. That's not the real reason I ran away from them."
Kendall Forge is a thirteen year old girl, who's abused by her parents. One day she heard them talking about having another child, so she made the decision to run away. Along the way she meets a boy named Zach who had also run away from home. Together they try to stay hidden, but when their names are on the news it makes it hard to.
In this story you'll follow along with Kendall and Zach, and all the crazy adventures they go through.

He doesn't have friends and is kinda shy. He has a hatred in his heart towards the world and no one knows why. Caleb is 14. He is like Ella's brother. They sick up for each other and do fun things together. He loves his dad and doesn't see the wrong in most things. One day Caleb tells Ella that Bradley and him are going on a trip with their dad and that she should go. She said yes, of course. Little did she know, what started out the shooting lessons in the middle of the woods would turn into their worst nightmare. Bradley has to reveal some secrets along with Ella and he has to start using his brotherly love and instinct to survive. What happens when Ella discover the biggest secret the boys have. Alex tries to ignore Deraci, but somethings are just too hard to do alone. Then Alex is to be sent on a solo mission, but Dylan says it's too risky and convinces them to allow him to go with her. The corner of his mouth tilts upward slightly. I smile again. A smile!? A tiny one, but still. "Hm. So I got you to smile, that's progress, yeah? Can I get your name now?" I ask, swinging my feel a little. He shakes his head shyly, his mouth not moving at all. Geez! Why do I want to hear this dude talk so much? "Okay, that's fine. I can give you a nickname." He shakes his head immediately, frowning. "What, why not? You remind me of my old teddy bear. He was a good listener and he didn't talk much..... just like you." I say softly, tilting my head. He continues to shake his head. I fold my arms, leaning back in my seat. "Yeah, it's definitely sticking. Teddy.....It has a nice ring to it, yeah?" He sighs, the first sound I have ever heard him make. "No." . . . *Jordan* Teddy!? Seriously!? She gave me a fucking NICKNAME!? What the hell does this girl want!? I stuff my hands into my pockets, walking down the busy street. Forget about her. She's just a annoying pretty girl, she'll go away. Everybody does. She HAS to go away. *Spoiler alert*: she doesn't. Don't get close to people or they'll end up getting hurt. That's my mindset. I've been through enough of that. This girl doesn't belong in my world anyway. He's worn down and broken, but under the layers he's swathed himself in since the death of his mother, there is a lively, loving person. Genuine, attractive, and kind, he's Eva's first outside friend. He can take her away and they can both escape. Anyone can go just about anywhere with a stolen 15 grand in their backpack. Follow Eva and Logan on a 12 destination trip across the country and find out if their friendship blooms into something more.
