When Mathis an elf considers calling off his wedding, will his future bride confession of love change his decision or will he go ahead his plans

As Mathi stepped outside and Mavy came closer he could see the sparkling glint in her emerald eyes. Mavy gazed at him with disappointment in her eyes. She said in hushed tones, "you shouldn't be drinking a few hours to your wedding"
Mathi looked at her and said "It's your wedding also you shouldn't be coming to fetch the groom". Mavy looked back, becoming calmer "Mathis I'm not just your bride I'm also your friend you know you can share things with me instead of drowning them down with Cider" she replied
They stared intently at each other; Mathi stared at her studying her features, her brunette hair dancing in the wind and her pretty hands which were held in his dirty ones. Eventually he took a deep breath and said "Mavy I don't deserve and neither do you deserve someone like me, you deserve someone much better than a mere jewel maker"
