Scarlet Lee's life has been flipped upside down. With out warning she is now in a
different state with a new name and engaged to a stranger the moody billionaire Ash Heart. She meets her mother's side of the family for the first and it is painfully obvious that she's surrounded by people that dislike her. Being around a bunch of wealthy people and their lifestyle made her feel foreign. Fighting with her feelings daily she try her best to remain strong for her mother's sake.

"Ash please don't...I can't." The words barely managed to escaped my mouth. My chest felt so tight I could hardly breathe. The painfully ache around my heart kept growing. I don't even know what I'm doing here. The sound of the waves alone bring painful memories I don't want to remember. The guilt and pain I feel everyday grew by ten just by being here. I hadn't even notice when the tears had started to stream down my face.
"Come on let's swim it will be fun" Ash said with a evil smirk. While pushing me closer to the water. I can't be here. I need to get as far away from here as I can but no matter how much I want too my legs are frozen and the air around me keeps getting thinner. In a flash I see someone punch Ash causing him to let go of me. I can hear them yelling but can't seem to make out what they're saying. Soon everything went black and silently cold.

I flinch and look back into his eyes. I feel hurt by his words and I don't know why, but I know he sees it in my eyes. His faces flashes with regret but it's quickly covered up with his faces going back to it's hard cold look. I feel my heart stop and my face go pale. His look terrified me making me hold my breath. "Breath." He orders. I start to breathe again and just blink at him. "Now go." He orders me again. I flinch involuntarily at his tone and jump back slightly. "Please don't let me walk home alone." I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes. I look up into his eyes and he looks down into mine confusion written all over his face. "How come you aren't running yet?" He questions searching my eyes. "I just can't walk home alone, please I'm scared." I hear him chuckle. "You aren't afraid of me? What can possibly be scarier than me?" He asks. "Well, I know you will keep me safe." "Why is that?"
